I have cod1, I have cod4.
cod1 > cod4, cod4 is just, way too full of crap. I guess I'm a "Strange gamer" I don't give a toss about weapons being realistic and whatnot, I just want replay value. CoD4 has none of it. I have over 1000 hours on CoD1, I can't see myself breaking 100 on CoD4, it's just tedious and samey. Back to CoD1 singleplayer for me

If you play on the right maps, on the right gametypes, on decent servers it easily outclasses the noob 20-bullet spray kills of softcore.

Cod4 was slow.. maybe not in matches, but i hardly ever played them anyway.. In pubs ppl were mostly camping. Cod4 was slow.. Maybe not the pace, but the way there was played, the transition from sprint to walk, the response of the char, I dunno, I just have never been abled to do the things I wanted to do... To play as i did in UO.

Oh. I got the cod5 beta now.. And is it me or does it look a lot worse as cod4? There is not enough contrast, flat foilage texture thingys.. I did turn my graphics all the way up, but its not as good as cod4's graphics imo.

About the gameplay: I like the bolt action rifles, for the rest its cod4, but it doesnt feel as smooth as cod4 did. However I did somewhat enjoy playing it for a while, its gonna be a no no for me.

precisely my view on the graphics ai. I made it a lot better looking by messing around with console settings, however the low res textures were still blatantly obvious.

However it may have been caused by me not pressing apply after setting the textures on extra..
Its better now.
Having played it a bit more, im allready starting to get the annoyances I had in cod4, losing seemingly impossible fights to lose.
An other thing is the pathetic spawn location.. A few times I spawned right in between the enemies when my teammates were not even close, very strange.

well i played this game now a bit longer but still I don't really like the gameplay it's ok but not really something I would enjoy for longer playing -> I will stay witch cod2

If you purchase the game - you agree that it is acceptable to release games of this quality. By doing so you are simply removing any motivation for developers to release decent games, as poor games are selling.

No. I think the game is fun, so it's a matter of opinion.

Whether you think the game is fun or not, the statement still stands. If you buy it, you think the quality is acceptable.

Not buying it is not going to cause a much better version to be released anytime soon, however.

Having played it online, it's starting to grow on me. I'm fully aware that it's not as good as the previous versions, but that doesn't make it a bad game in itself, and if CJ is to expand to the new game (which it must and will) then at least one of the site owners should at least have the game

I dont think its THAT a bad game either, little less as cod4.. But cod4 simple didnt amuse me anymore, so im not gonna give cod5 the chance to amuse me.
