Why don't they do "display name" and "profile name"? Similar to how msn functions, you can view contacts by their display name or their profile name, so I could be "citricsquid" as my profile, but I could change my display name to "Mr Little Willy"? It seems like disallowing name changes is a bad idea, I'm happy with using my alias, because I've been using it over 2 years, but there are people who change their name every other week.

Choose a unique name, idiots with names like "sniper" that everyone chooses deserve to be shot anyway.

You can't make 2 profiles with the same names It will say that the name is being used. Take helium for example. Some 12 year old danish guy stole my nick so I won't be able to use the nick "helium". I'm probably going to use something similar, like heliumftw or something.

Also, what if you're in a clan ? You can't even change your clantag. If you need to make a new profile and start all over again...

God I hope not, the only other jdoggs I've seen are J-Dog, or JDog. Never JDogg, cus that's me!. So hopefully im safe, but just to be sure ill get the game asap and make a profile .

You will not be able to make a profile with the same name at all. It won't matter whether you play on the same server or not. If someone in Brazil created a profile called Zaitsev you will never ever be able to use that username, unless he deletes it.
