good places 2 buy new pc's

Post by De$t!ny » May 24th, 2005, 2:57 pm

i know its prob better 2 build ur own pc's these days, i could build it ok but then i bet i would f*ck up when i gotta configure bios/installing software  well n e way which gd companies do u know 2 get pc's from, just incase i gotta buy 1 i want a reliable 1.

ive got a dell atm and they r ok, but i want amd and they don't have it. there r loads of horror stories with mesh and overclockers uk. not sure about evesham, whispercomputers, wired2fire but they seem alright. of course i would want an alienware, but atm there might b delays for their psu which could mean a total delay of 52 days!!!

I was gonna suggest overclockers....

tbh, build one yourself... How can you rely on somethig someone else did ;)

As long as you dont get nothing too fancy, you should be alright.

Don't bother with the new 64bit Intel... not worth it atm. (64 AMD is fine, although I prefer pentiums).
Get a good Asus mobo, good gfx card (I prefer Nvidia persnally), 1gb+ Ram (DDR400, unless you want the newer more expensive version :P)... and a 350 or 400W PSU :)

Leave the bios alone and just install all the mobo drivers. (only configure stuff that HAS to be changed).
Do not overclock anything (at least until you have a working PC).

And all should be fine tbh.
