Multiple Skyboxes
I know theoretically your skybox can any shape as long as it encompasses the whole map, so I was wondering if you might be able to use multiple skybox textures in a single skybox.
________ _______

|skybox1|skybox2|

----------- ----------
I know this would make for odd ambient issues as the sun would be coming out of the wrong direction most likely on at least one of the skyboxes, but I am fine with that.

Re: Multiple Skyboxes
Or you could make your own. Take some pictures of your sky outside then split the photo into 6 sections of 1024x1024 and import them as seperate normal textures. That's atleaset what I'd do although you'd have a problem finding a camera with a resolution that high...Oh I also saw a custom sky making tutorial somewhere but forgot where, sorry. Re: Multiple Skyboxes
If you search google you can typically find some really high def panoramic shots...
Re: Multiple Skyboxes
only problem is that you won't have the long endless sky type effect unless you use really big brushes, which might eventually suck out performance.
