Where are you going with KS?

But seriously, where are you heading off to? I hope you have a good time :)

I'm off to Zante for 2 weeks soon, but 1 week of exams and 1 week of drinking until I go!

Hey chaps and chappetes! I has returned!

Before I signed up for this... I was like... what the hell am I doing! But afterall it was a very fun week and these men needed a lot of care so it was pretty tough from time to time. Had some hilarious moments. Although I don't want to work with people who have a mental handicap, it was good to be of use. These people don't really say that they appreciate it all but you can see it.

It seems that I'm a very social guy with these kind of people. I work atm with elderly people who need care. Good to be back, good that I went!

Fair play for choosing that kind of work. I don't think I would be able to do it. When I worked at a supermarket, I saw a handicapped fella in an electric wheelchair knock over a stack of children's toys. I almost broke a rib trying not to laugh, I had to go out the back into the warehouse where I just exploded laughing lol. Sounds harsh, but it was very funny. Being handicapped must be the worst of things, like being homeless.

"Seriously... .45k/sec it is a joke.. I could have just gone out and taken my own photos of children in this time."
"You have just become my fave youtuber!" - KillerSam in regards to myself. Win.

Maybe, but you gotta understand... Not every mental handicapped person is the same. My people weren't the drooling, total freaks. They were normal people, who are just being 'kids'. I'll give some examples. It's a pity I can't record some of the conversations because the way some people speak, adds a whole new dimension to it. Anyway, I'll try to explain all 4 characteristics (sp?) of the 4 men I went with.

#1: A very quiet man, but the most intelligent of them all. This guy thinks in-depth of things which happen around him. He knows a lot, he knows the road home saying every single village we can come across. Think of it as if he has a map together with a compass inside his head. When you watch his intelligence, you wonder how he can be handicapped, but he is, but you guys can't see how he speaks nor can you see how he moves etc. But at first sight, you won't say he's handicapped.

#2: This guy was my favourite. He's a bit of a kid... I'd say, around 10 years old. But even though because of his age (iirc 84 years) he can still do everything 'good'. Only issue is is that he has issues walking. He liked to paint with pencils.... You know, these child books. He just paints inside of the black lines, nothing natural, he just likes to fill those gaps with a color. He's very proud of himself. He asks us if he's good at it, and if we say he is, he's just very proud of himself. That's with showering (He was the only one who I let washing himself, even due of his age). Ofc, I helped him a bit, like his back etc. Anyway, this is a very friendly guy, who just feels very proud of himself about any acomplishment (sleeping well, the showering, painting, etc.).
Also, at moments, I named him the wrong guy. Just for a reason, because he's like (Hard to say it in English): ''Ooooooh, you muppet, you're not there with your head!''. Again, it's a pity you can't hear it, it's great fun.

#3: This guy is even younger imo than #2. I'd say, maybe around 8 years old. He's a kid, even though he's in the 50s. He behaves like a kid and this guy is sooooo hard to understand. But after a day, I could understand him very well. He repeats the same word like ''Waterpistool'' (Watergun) or ''Bal'' (A ball). Nothing more. With 1 word he's trying to make a reference to his toys. He doesn't speak in sentences, just 1 word, and I noticed that in hism ind he speaks a whole sentence. He was the hardest to understand, but after a while, I could make up what he said pretty much 90% of the time without issues I'd say. Now if you see this guy playing football, or driving on a skelter (English word ?), it makes you feel like as if he has the time of his life, which he has. He just doesn't show his emotions very well. What made me laugh was that he has a pistol, which bangs if fired. At some times he was showing off his 'skills'. Like spinning it around his finger as cowboys do followed by putting it away, was great fun. Also, he was being like a young kid when he needed to go to bed. Great guy. Very friendly too.

#4: My least favourite. I didn't really like this guy, but you can't show it ofc) Apparently he was much different than a year ago or so. So, he has become worse now. He's telling other people what to do, what other people like, what other people do while he doesn't even know a thing. He just speaks for the others. One time, I was laughing like hell. Just the first time I heared it, while we picked all these ugys up and were driving to our place where we'd stay. He kept repeating things like: ''Today is Monday''. Yep, today is Monday. ''And tomorrow it's Tuesday''. Yep, tomorrow is Tuesday. ''And then Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. And Friday we're going back home. Right ?''. Now this looks kinda normal. But the way he tells it (Very aggresive imo) is hilarious... Untill he said it like 100000 times. But you gotta think as if it's the first time he asks it. Now... When we were driving back to the place where they live in Leeuwarden (Duch city :P). I asked the guys if they know where we were. Nobody knew. I said that we were in Leeuwarden and he quickly followed by a loud and short... ''No!''. At that time I couldn't stop laughing, just the way it came out of his mouth made me lol.

Anyway, it was great fun. Good learning experience. Better than the stuff I do on school.

Wall of text crits you for a lot.
