Longer Strafe Jumps

Ok, I use 125 fps and Im trying to get use to doing longer strafe jumps. I press W and A/D + sprint and I flick my mouse...but I can never get far. Example: Crash bounce jump on the helicopter, sometimes I can do it sometimes I can't. I can do most jumps in pipeline...im working on Crash, Downpour, Strike. Any useful tips, specific settings, mouse sensitivity that would be perfect for doing it? Also, I'll show some tuts on what I know for strafe jumps and bouncing. All this is performed on codjumper.mod and by ME. Once again, anything you already know please disreguard. Know anymore tips that I might not know, xfire or mesage. Thanks

Ok I managed to do the bounce on the helicopter on crash onto the highest rooftop. Im making progress but I still need to practice my strafing. Any tips appreciated.

I keep my settings on low and texture settings low as well. Hope this helps people out and im still noob at certain jumps

Mouse sens 5.5

Windows sens 4th notch. Enhance pointer precision.

If known or not by some people, this is a fun bounce I like to do on hardcore servers for backlot, it's gets you up the ladder quick. You have to strafe jump from the back farthest little square from the picture your standing on and bounce on the car:

Pipeline van bounce:

Ok ok, I know some people have trouble doing this bounce from the the B rooftop onto the van to the A rooftop. Pro's, please disreguard this tut as I want to help people out for the bounce that don't know how to. Thanks.

Where you want to strafe jump from:

If done correctly, you should be able to land on the roof of B. Remember to strafe jump off of the highest point of the B roof to perform the van bounce as shown. Hope this helps.

I did use Edit on some of them lol. I was just making some short Tuts on each post sorry all!

Oh and thanks Topher, I seen that video many times too. That's where I kinda picked up the strafe jumping technique. I use to play a lot of CS too and I bunny hopped/strafe jumped a lot too lol.

Was about to saythat a 'hexapost'.. or something.
Anyway, when u can do the chopper bounce there is nothing wrong with your strafe, its a hard jump.

hi all, am new to bouncing but looks fun so ill give it a go, so far i suck at strafe jumping but am getting better lol.

cannot seem to get the bounce onto the truck in pipeline... i hit the top of the windscreen... it just doesnt bouce :S

also has anybody had problems getting a decent FPS with windows vista? i have a fairly good pc but cannot seem to et much more than about 80 (yes i have changed the max FPS to 250 but only get it if looking at the sky lol)

EDIT: or does punkbuster slow it down?
