Serious PC problem
Hey guys ive got a huge issue with my computer. It started today or yesterday, i cant remember. I think it was yesterday. When i try to play counter strike source, it just reboots my pc without warning. Sometimes i get as far as playing, sometimes it just conks straight away. Its so annoying, because i have made some skins / models i want to fix/use. One time i was playing happily until i walked through a smashed glass window on cs_office, breaking lots off (if you have played you will understand). Then at that point it just went *voom* reboot.
This also happened with cod 4, i got it to the part where it boots up and changes to its resolution but then it went black and my boot screen came up (whenyou turn the pc on).
Guys, its f*****g me off now, I've been saving months for an amp, i may have to invest in some pc-age, Im thinking its the PSU or the RAM, not sure though. Any help would be amazing, thanks.

Install latest GFX drivers.
Ensure your heating systems / fan e.t.c are working (take the case off + watch the fans spin) and remove any dust e.t.c
Ive got a transparent panel so il have alook. I just tried Cod2 with dx9 on, somethingn ive never attempted really, and it was all plain sailing at good old 45 fps. But i shall take a closer look on counter strike.

Re: Serious PC problem
Sounds like an overheat problem to me.
Try to check the temperatures when you just idle, and then check it when you play. Anything above 90 degrees celsius is bad for the GFX.
You can check the temperature by downloading a program called Speedfan (just google it)
It could be a driver problem aswell tbh. Try updating your drivers, and see if it helps.

I moved the topic.
There are several sections of the forums for a reason, I see more and more topics in general chat that obviously need to be in support.. Plz use your brains next time.

Re: Serious PC problem
You're missing the point.
Support is for people who're in need of help to fix a general problem. General Chat is for... well... anything whatsoever (aka pointless posts mostly

General chat is for anything whatsoever that does not fit in any of the other forum parts.

Well, I dont see any need for any argument really, I posted in the wrong forum, mainly by accident, I was just on the codjumper forums when i decided to post, and seeing as its the most popular forum, I thought i might get better results there, so my mistake
on a second note, the problem is still as bad as ever, ive got nvidea monitor working, and im currently at 38c at idle for the gpu (so it says), and i havent checked ingame yet. But cod 4 loaded up, i got the create server screen, as i was loading up shipment before it started showing me the rendered world (at the top of the loading bar thing) you would expect it to flick to the 'game view', but mine conked off at that stage....im going to do sometesting, it never happens on cod, or cs1.6 or less demanding games that require more 'cpu' input, so im suspecting its my graphics.
