Seriously it is not...

Most of that is just a stand, there are only 2 folds required to make the illusion.

The concept of the fold is simple, build a real 3D box shaped head, turn it inside out, stick it together...

That because this "invention" has existed longer than I have... I seriously don't see why people are amazed by how it works. I can understand the amazement of how it tricks your brain, but being amazed by the simple creation of a square headed dragon...

It is simple and effective, that makes it impressive. It doesnt have to be something omgcomplicated to be impressive.

But only 2 are required. The concept is to make a 3 dimension shape. Although there may be more then 2 folds, the 2 folds required are there to form depth, which gives the object a 3D perspective. Its not complicated, it just creates a great effect...
