Re: EarthQuake
It wasn't in the london area, it was everywhere.
The earthquake was actually in japan.
And yes it did scare the shit out of me. The tv nearly fell on my head, and a plate on my wardrobe nearly smashed.

Yes, very much true. It shook my chair I was sitting in, at first I just ignored it, and thought nothing of it, but waking this morning to hear we had an earthquake explains it a lot.
My brother also said he was in bed and his entire bed shook, again he just dismissed it.

5.2 magnitude. We get a 5+ magnitude earthquake once every 10-20+ years.

You mean Lincolnshire, surely?Marshall wrote:The earthquake was actually in japan.
An earthquake of that magnitude hitting us from all the way in Japan would not only be impossible, but would probably be strong enough to shake japan and move it closer to china

(It happened at roughly 1am)

well like i said i only felt like a small rumble, and i tought it was a Van going by, as this house normal shakes a little when vans go by.lol...so maybe that what it was, luckly nothink broke here,, and thinking of it i did go out side around that time to out out the trash forthe morning dustman collection and nothink happened, also my lights flickered a bit but they normaly do that daily.
Maybe it was his heavy snooreing .lol
How could you dismiss your bed shaking?
Is your house known for having poltergeists? (sp)

With the very recent death of an old friend (my sisters friend who used to be very close to our family) at the age of 23 (I think), it certainly crossed our minds, but I am a non-believer of the 'super-natural', so I always hope potential super-natural happenings to come with some explanation soon after, luckily this didKillerSam wrote:How could you dismiss your bed shaking?

Re: EarthQuake
I was in bed and half asleep when it happened. It shook my window open and my curtain billowed so I thought someone was trying to climb through my window. I practically had a heart attack lol. Impressive though. I slept through the one about 4/5 years ago.
I heard that some chimley fell through the roof of a house and crushed someone's pelvis lol. If they were male I feel so sorry for them.

I was in bed watching Alan Partridge with headphones on - I didn't feel a thing. Still, I reckon I would of had it shook my room.
Shame, I want to experience an (harmless to me) earthquake
