It's drifted off topic, but it's still a reasonable discussion topic in its own right, as opposed to a topic discussing nothing in particular.

Did you not read my previous post, which said: "people quoting each other and not adding anything new to the conversation"?

But you are willing to pay for a small bottle of alcohol which costs... like 60 pounds ? Or how much was it ?
It's true, you really are addicted.

Off topic is fine, randomness is not. Once you have learned the difference, you may return...

The bottle was £36.99. The fact of the matter is that by saving money on some things I can afford to spend more money on other things. I always try and spend as little money as possible, but there wasn't really a substitute for absinthe, whereas a coach is a clearly viable substitute for the train.

It's OK, I don't need to talk to AA members. Oh, and I did google the phone number, I didn't happen to know it off-by-heart

I'm sober most of the time.

I'm sober most of the time.
Is it a coincidence you are also asleep or at uni most of the time too?
Even a drunk must earn his wages sober.

I thought I had to highlight that fact, because from what KillerSam said he is assuming I find it easier to remain drunk than to remain sober, which is not true.
You could work drunk if you have a night shift, or if you run your own company (for example a bar).

Alot of bartenders in pubs get drunk during their job.

Oh really, maybe in Newcastle, but working drunk down here is instant sacking. Drinking on the job at a pub is not allowed, unless it is a "lock-in" which are rare to have nowadays as hours have been extended. Being under the influence of alcohol affects a lot of things, and working drunk (especially a bar job) would be stupid and no landlord would have any of it.

In Newcastle the typical job is "burglar" so yes, drinking on the job is required.

Decided to contact the company we ordered it off first, as we'd much rather they go through the hassle of contacting parcel force than us. Plus, they'd probably contact parce force anyway once we get no useful information out of the useless cunts.
Currently I'm managing with my mouse (which miraculously is working again, but still freezing frequently) - will get a cheap replacement one soon. Speaking of which - anyone know a shop as close to Aldwych as possible which sells cheap computer mice?

So the owner of a bar is likely to sack himself for being drunk on the job?

Only if he was very drunk.
