Never use the adjustable weights, or the mouse itself? :)

I can't see the point of adjustable weights, unless you're changing your mouse make and want them to match.

I too have the MX518, very good mouse, very reliable. Had it for over 3 years I think, with no problems apart from the right mouse button sometimes clicks twice. Though that's from the endless hours on WoW holding down right mouse.

Well, I've ordered the MX 518 and it should arrive in the next two days.

My mouse is becoming even worse, I think it's discovered I've ordered the new one and now it's doing all it can to piss me off for the next few days!

Honestly.. im tired of people saying ''u dont use 2000dpi, u dont use 3200 dpi''
Higher DPI = More precise, it doesnt skip pixels.
The best is to put it to the max DPI ur mouse allows and then turn down your Ingame sensitivity.

I know someone who still kicks arse using a ball mouse. DPI is over-rated, the difference between 2000 and 3200 is not even close to being noticeable.

Indeed. At the end of the day, if you're good you're good, if you're not you're not. I play very well with an MX500 or a normal windows optical mouse, it makes minimal difference. I just don't play so well when my mouse freezes for 2 second periods frequently.

By the way, I discovered from testing that it only freezes when I move it downwards for some reason.

I would give anything to use a ball mouse right now, this one freezes so much more often - literally every 5 seconds it freezes for 2 seconds. Fortunately my new mouse should arrive very soon (most likely tomorrow).

Yeh, a replacement. Fine as that, but other than that lazer mouse imo.

OK, well my mouse has completely stopped working, having to type this on a university computer :(

My keyboard is working, and i have my computer on msn and xfire, so I can talk to people etc. for the meanwhile. My new mouse had better bloody arrive soon!

As a result, I won't be active on the forums until it comes (for obvious reasons).
