cant get cod2 jumping right

i read every tutorial and i watched the 3 vids but i still cant get it right. I went to starlingrad, the second tuts map, and i went to the same spot and what i do is i hold w and a and when i get to the edge i flick the mouse. Is there anyything im missing... btw my fps is 220 ave when i look down

You might not strafe as far as you want because it's determined by some stock numbers... It's not the higher the FPS the further you get.

You jump further/higher with 125 and 250 FPS. Also with 333 but apparently you won't make that. Try lowering your graphics a bit so you might be able to get a constant 250 FPS. If not, 125 should suffice, most people use that anyway.
