I will check the forums e.t.c however and be on xfire, but no more gaming![]()

The above proverb, is very true. Do not believe the "Working hard leads to success" bullshit that you are fed, hard work only leads to success when the hard work is broken down by 'chilling out'. This is why this country suffers from very high amounts of stress and why the most common 'illness' taken from work is stress.

I highly suggest that.
Seriously, when I raided WoW approx 5 days a week I ended at around midnight, only got 5 or 6 hours of sleep. Honestly, that's devastating.
You guys are doing a more difficult school then me (And I'm doing something completely different) but I finished my exams without much effort. Imagine the easymode and I'm damn lazy.
Anyway, just wanted to share it

I seem to remember telling you that at the time, and you told me you wouldn't be able to control yourself and would end up gaming just as muchKillerSam wrote: - Limit my gaming time
Make prior commitments to other things to help reduce the amount of time you play, if necessary. Since I got to uni I've been using the computer much less than in the past (yes, I'm always on msn/xfire, but that's because I leave my computer on 24/7, not because I'm on it), and the reason is because I have a social life and go out and do things with my mates on a frequent basis. Albeit, it's easier to do this when you are at uni because you live 30 seconds walk away from your friends' rooms, but you get the idea.

I hate when people say this. This is why you should never listen to criticism from someone too many years older than yourself (i.e Parents or Grandparents).Pedsdude wrote:and the reason is because I have a social life
The reason you are not at your PC more than you used to be is not to do with "now having a social life", but the fact your current social life does not revolve around your computer.
Using a PC is not a sign of no social life, but a sign of a different social life than someone who does not use their PC.

Sorry, I did forget to add, I know you didn't mean it in that way, I was just in a rant moodPedsdude wrote:You know what I mean. I wasn't saying that I didn't have a social life before, nor was I saying that being on the computer and conversing with other people doesn't constitute a 'social life', I simply meant having more of an external one (i.e. face to face) than in the past.
