No computer is going to last 10 years. I think you will be good for the next 2-3 years or so. Also could you list the exact parts for everything that you plan to get. Just listing things like 4gb of ram really means nothing without things such as the speed and brand.

It seems likes an ok deal. If i take a quick estimate I would say that it could be built yourself for around $3000.

Case: any atx mid or full sized case will work, pick what you like and seems durable
Power: this company has not made psu's for very long but they seem to be off to a good start. I also believe they have a good warranty on this psu.
Processor: should be fine since you said you wanted quad core, and it is not that much money
Cooling: sry i dont know much about water cooling
Motherboard: can be a good mobo, but watch out i have seen a few problems with it
Ram: that is not such a common brand of ram, however the few people the used it say it is great
Video: Dont think you need this much with the 9x series so close, but if u get these make sure it is part of the evga step up
Harddrive: with this much money get better hd's. I would say a few smaller fast drives mostly for your OS. Then a larger slower 7200rpm 500gb to store stuff on.
Drive 1: do you really need a blu ray burner right now? If you can wait they will greatly drop in price by the time you really need one.
Drive 2: any dvd burner will work, but pioneer and plextor are regarded as better.
Sound Card: once again I would not buy this, but i am kind of cheap.
Meters: anything should work, pick what you like

I'm stuggling to stay under 80gig ;| I've got too much music and stuff I will never use. Lethal if your Dad has a terabyte+ space, then why spend extra on 250? Seems a waste.

Can anyone recommend me a very good graphics card for my computer I'm getting? It's OK if it's pretty expensive, although I don't want ridiculously expensive!

That'll be annoying for playing games imo, you'll have to turn your head to see!
