directx 9.0c

Ok, so i played cod2 today, no problems...
Then tried again later, didnt change anything at the pc. The game shuts down and it opens this website:
file:///c:/program%20files/activision/call%20of%20duty%202/Docs/TechHelp/Tech%20Help/Information/DirectX.htm

I tried installing directx 9.0c. Re-installed the game but both didnt work.. anyone got any idea?

I get that sometimes, often after running a certain program, like maya. Works after rebooting though.

The game works again.. got some help from Die Hard, removed some files from the folders and then it worked..
