lol i dont even can reach 125fps there on dx7 all low everything off and 800x600

Ye, same for me. I got 1024x768 and all settings low, dx7 and get like 50-60 fps there.

but i dont need such a hyper-super-ultra-uber-pc thats so funny on the jumper-server the pwning themself ah i got 1000fps --> i got 1250fps but cant even do the first jump on jm_castle_easy

and i dont buy a pc for playing

We might be buying a new pc soon, our current pc is 6 years old..
The new one is gonna be good, but no uber hyper thing, no 8800gtx in it for sure.

You mean people bragging about their FPS ? lol, like I care. I can't get 125 FPS (At some maps, like Pyramid, most stock maps) but I can jump better then most players (Apart of Ai Caramba >_>) And I won't pay hundreds of euros to buy a pc to get a better FPS. I do like a better pc to run games like Oblivion or the upcoming UT2007 but it's still too expensive. I do buy Nintendo consoles though, but I save for those and I really like Nintendo.

actually more really ;p its not that noticable in cod2 but for example in et (enemy territory -_-) the effect is kinda bigger and most of the players even put com_maxfps 76 when they switch to a pistol cuz of the recoil. in cod2 u can test that too with mp44 or something... u can see that ur crosshair goes up to one point when u spray and it stays there until the end of ur ammo. with 333fps it goes to this point faster than with 76fps

i tried it from a friend he has some 300$ video card ;p mine is overclocked gf7300gt but i can still get like 500-600fps when i look to the ground on my own server :}

maximum cod2 fps is 1000 btw... (?)

ppreslii, it may be true to ET, but the recoil in CoD2, is very little and any change is not noticeable. ET had lots of things you could do with recoil, the biggest (although I believe the last patch fixed it) was the no recoil sniping...

hmm very interesting is this. But how much people can get so much fps, you really need a monster pc (duo intel processor, 7800gtx/8800gtx)?.

Buy something like this click (dutch site) you dont need all those other things like soundcard, headset, expensive logitec mouse and keyboard just buy a price/performance one

Allready got a proper keyboard, G5 mouse and a good logitech headset.
Made my own mouse surface which is much better as all bought mouse surfaces I ever had. If the fabric over it ever wears down, I simply replace it.

I wonder if the bomb planting/defusing sound won't be there with some sort of FPS setting ?

Sometimes there was a defuse but nobody heared it. Might happen once in the so many times but you never know. I had it atleast twice.

yep its almost not noticable... even not noticable at all but still there is a little change :} thats with all q3 engine games.. i was just saying u can feel this recoil fps change in et ;p anyway et have a lots of things u can do not just with the recoil

et is great game shame its almost dead -_- eh... nvm :}

i believe its just a bug... like when someone shoots infront of u but sometimes u dont hear him.. maybe its almost the same with the defusing... but duno someone must test it ;p

Simply made it myselve, piece of plexiglass, properly glued some fabric on it, put spare grip from my brothers badminton racket on it (dont ask) and u got urselve a nice custom mouse surface.
That way u can make it ur own size and surface texture.
