FPS to gain an advantage
We all know that a higher FPS gives you an advantage in the jumping area.
But take a look at this demo and the forum thread on ED:

I never knew that, and that is surely giving you an advantage.
Apparently, money is making you better, while in fact, you aren't.

Yep this is a very well known bug now, a lot of servers and leagues will not let you have more than 125 fps because of it.
Nobody can think of a reason for the bug...

Peds, this is simply cheating, don't lower yourself to their level.
If people say that they are unaware of this is just bullshit.
If you can run around at normal speed which we usualy need to do while crouching (To not make sound) it clearly gives you an advantage. If you can get 600+ fps ( ) no weapon will make sound when running. We are a cheaterfree clan, in all our years playing we never had a cheater on our server, but one on our clan did cheated but we banned him right after we discovered it (He wasn't so active, thank god for that).
When I play in matches I listen a lot, I discover most players by sound and if the opposite person can simply run around without making sound... It's the same as a wallhack or an aimbot.
You can't buy skill.

I do think a higher FPS 'speeds' up your bullets, but I think you won't notice the difference. I'm not sure about that, I only heared it.aicaramba wrote:wtf..
Anyway, I sometimes notice people being abled to fire much quicker after reloading or changing/picking up weapons as me. Is this FPS related aswell?
With very high FPS you can switch weapons without enemies hearing it. I don't know about picking up. Also, you can't fire quicker after reloading. I do have a 'trick' to fire quicker after reloading and that's bashing after you put a few bullets in your sniperrifle or with the Webly pistol, that takes long to load. When I see the number 6 in the Webly I bash, goes a bit quicker.
I honestly have no idea. I think what Drofder said is that maybe they don't have a solution for fixing it ? I'm sure they are aware of it though.Pedsdude wrote:Are they not able to fix it with a patch? Surely there must be another way of fixing it without forcing people with very good machines to play at sub-standard levels (compared to what they should be able and allowed to play at).

A guy picks up a weapon and starts shooting immediatly, it takes no time to get the gun in the correct position to shoot, just flicks in place and fires no time in between.

more fps- less step noises, faster shooting, more recoil. thats with all q3 engine based games ;p i ran the whole dawnville with 800fps before a while with pistol and there were no steps ;p with 333fps u can run silently with mp44/bren/bar. for more equal game for now the limit of 250fps is a good thing ;p
