Java, mmmmm

Ok, so I have been starting to study java and I think I am getting the hang of it. So know I am going to try and make my first program. What I would like to try is make a Automatic scripting program for cod or cod2, just input the targetname and variables and it does the rest.
Anyone got anymore ideas for me to try and make?
