Edit your configs ?

Been wondering this for a while but I never asked.

I bet there's an easy way to do it, but how ?

Ehh, copy ur config to ur desktop, rename it from .cfg to .txt and edit away!!!

Edit:
Oh and rename it back to .cfg afterward.. then place it where the old .cfg is.

just use wordpad or notepad to open it, then edit it then save as server.cfg easy.

Oh do a backup copy of original config, incase ya screw p.lol

I renamed it with .cfg but it still shows as a text file (I copied the original to a different place). Is that like it's supposed to be ?

Just change config_mp.txt to config_mp.cfg, that works for me :s

You mean it's a .txt or it looks like a text file? It's likely to look like a text file if you opened it in notepad/wordpad as that will probably be the default program for opening it.

You dont need to rename it, just right click and open it in notepad/wordpad, as easy as that

ok... after screwing up as much as actually possible I finaly managed to get it to work, thanks to Pedsdude (who else ?). Thanks a lot, now I know how to edit this piece of crap and I know also how everything works.

Lol, I once tried to help someone with their config. So he send me, but forgot to remove the rcon he had binded
