strafe jump noob question...

sorry so stupid but....

1) when you guys talk about the "strafe" key are you referring to the key you actually bind to strafe or is just moving left or right with those bound keys the same thing?

2) for a strafe jump i have read what you need to do and i think i understand it but i wanted to make sure of the order in which things go. is it move forward, then move left/right, "flick" mouse in the direction that you want to go, jump?


Anything anyone can add would be really appriciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No question is stupid

1) strafing is just moving ehm... how do I say this? moving sideways!
the default control for this is a & d

2) I think it's right, but I flick the mouse about the same time I jump

Join the codjumper server and go to the training area (some maps got it) there you can practise it and maybe some people care to help you.

You can also just run to the edge at an angle, then face the place you want to jump to just before/same time as you jump.

Some people go left some go right.

You never need to use the actual 'Strafe' key (apart from on a jump on dawnville, which is easier if you use it, but still possible without).

it never really lets me jointhe codjumper servers it always says something about checking the cd key and i wait and wait and i can never get but i will try again tomorrow.

if you have a original cd-key try to type it in multiplayer options - enter CD-key then try again ( I had this problem 2 )
