CoDJumper Mod Update (1.8)

Post by Drofder2004 » July 4th, 2006, 6:32 pm

Changed
- Punishment Command Cvar
- Welcome Messages are now organised so they do not get in the way of other messages.

Added
- Rotating Messages
- Kick and Spin Punishments (Spinning is good for people who disobey orders the admin, as well as kicking ;))
- Admin Welcome messages (This will shows when an admin connects (along with his admin number, admin numbers are simply a number given to an admin for cvar use only, it is not a level or priority))
- Punishment Reason (you can now add a reason to punish players, this will show on their screen).

Download Here

For help on setting up your server and help on using the commands, consult the readme provided. It comes with a sample config and also detailed usage of the commands.

(not that it gives them anything apart from immunity)
My server is cracked = 0 GUID

Maybe on IP

I do not support the use of cracked servers, so i'm afraid the mod WILL be working on GUID's in the future.

The only reason I am currently not using GUIDS is that the GUIDS will need to be given to Grom (or whoever is admin of their server).

for now, I suggest people give their GUIDS to grom, and if anyone does fake admin name, then ban them...

Too bad:(, will take atleast a few months before I buy the game =_='

EDIT:
Btw why does no one make mods that work on IP ^^

EDIT2:
Can't ya make it so that you can choose between IP and GUID, because some people have cracked servers because their friends have cracked call of duty 2 :/

Yes but your IP can not be copied, there are not 2 of the same IP's.
And if it's homehosted it's quite easy.. (10.0.0.x)

KillerSam wrote:well, when your IP changes (as mine does every few weeks), i cna set my router to assign a selected IP by typing it in, 80% of the time it lets me have it (not in use). So what I am saying is....not everybody gets a static IP, so it would be stupid to hae to change the config every few days, when a GUID is stable.
As for the cracked server, get a genuine one.......thery have not been suppoted ever, and i doubt they ever will.
That's why I said: Let the people pick wether they use IP or GUID

Damn that sucks :(

Can't you make it so you become admin automatically when you login at rcon?:P

Hmm, dont know.

I dont think it is possible to use the "rcon login <password>" function in scripting. I can try.

Yeah or else that when you login you just do a command in rcon to become admin like /rcon admin
(I'm full of suggestions:P)

The rcon system is very limited.

I can create new commands for rcon to use, but I cannot replace the rcon login (I dont think).

What I suggest is that make a bind...

eg
/bind L "rcon login <password"

That's what I meant make a new command named admin that maybe copies the rcon login like
/rcon admin <password>

The spin command doesn't seem to work on the server (unless I'm doing it wrong).
