To cut a long story short, I've been on O2 Pay & Go for almost 2 years with my O2 X1... they recalled it because it had a fault which could cause a fire risk in rare cases, so they disabled it (not the sim, just the phone), so I couldn't use it. They offered replacement phones, but they were around 80 pounds, whereas I paid 170 pounds for my phone, so we've complained since, got nowhere with call centres in India, spoke to which? about it, they said we had a good case, we wrote to O2 and have since got in contact with the main person for this particular area.

Going to phone him tomorrow... they have a 14 day return period for phones, so they have a large number of phones that are perfectly fine that they can't sell again, so I'm hopefully going to get a good one from this 'holy grail' cabinet :P

Anyway, back on the mp3 player front... I ordered it on Thursday night... it said 2-3 days delivery (they don't deliver on Sat or Sun), so it should come today/tomorrow. It didn't arrive today, so I'm praying it'll arrive on time (which isn't likely) tomorrow. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow then I will not be pleased as I'm going down to LSE in London on Wednesday (will be within close proximity of Destiny :P), and don't particularly want to have to take my shitty CD player.

Oh my god, I'm fed up of people making the "You don't listen to all of that music!" response. Obviously I don't, as it would take a number of DAYS to listen to all of the music, but that doesn't mean that I don't want it all AVAILABLE for me. Just because I don't listen to all of it doesn't mean that I don't want all of it on. If I want to listen to a specific song and it's not on my mp3 player, that's no good, is it? The whole point in the iPods etc are that you can have entire music collections at the touch of a button.

Anyway, my iAudio X5L arrived yesterday (typical, a few hours AFTER I went off to London, AND my CD player broke on the plane journey to Stansted). IT IS AMAZING. Anybody who is thinking of buying an mp3 player should DEFINATELY check this out instead of just assuming that the iPod is the best mp3 player on the market. I mean sure, the iPod looks good and all, and has all the features, but this one looks just as good, and has as many (in fact MORE) features, plus a huge amount of battery life.

The only downside is that you have to use it like a storage system (i.e. it doesn't organise the songs for you like in iTunes... it's more of a drag and drop into explorer type thing), and it only uses USB, so it's taking a total of around 3 hours to add all my songs to it (although that's not too bad, it's almost fininshed now anyway).
