The new patch made many jumps impossible, how to avoid it?

Post by karulo » April 16th, 2006, 12:30 am

the new patch made many jumps impossible and i know you DONT die if you do the jumps when waiting for a war to start.
now is my question how i can do the jumps in my own local server. i know they are impossible in game but i think there is a possibility to do the jumps in local own hosoted server. mabey someone can help me with this.
i just like to make a demo of all the jumps possible :-). and didnt have time to make demo of all the jumps that where possible.

I hope someone can help me out with this problem :-D.

It's simple, You just have to do a backup copy of the file: CoD2MP_s before the installation of the patch (we call it 1) and also later (we call it 2).

when you need the new maps you overwrite 2 in the main.
when you want to do the old jump you overwrite 1 in the main.

I didn't tried it but It should work!

Well, that isn't possible tbh.. When you first have installed the patch, there's no way back. You can delete all the new .iwd files, folders etc, but you will still have 1.2 installed.

A friend of mine does it everyday for playing in different server with different version.
It works just if you had the version 1.01 before installing the patch 1.02
He just use the 1.01.exe to play in the server without patch and the 1.02.exe for playing in the new servers.

I didn't do it but he said that it works. :)
