no ok what it is you n o when you go 2 a american football game it has a lil book elling you who playing etc .. just like when you go 2 the horse races u get a book saying who is a hot tip etc.. its just a bit about the players etc and the other team

Definition:
programme: an announcement of the events that will occur as part of a theatrical or sporting event

Basically as Rince said, when you go to sporting events you can buy a programme, which is a small booklet which has all the information about the match and the latest team news etc, so that people can keep them as a souvenir after a game, or just if they want to read before/during/after the game.
