Yep, but just to keep interest in the CJ Community I believe the best option would be for the best maps to be "re-released" first.

lol my map sucked... it took a week to do since rince made that map-competition thing and the deadline was like a week later lol... I couldn't map then and tbh I'm still not that good :P but if I ever complete jm_Danograd it should be good :D

and I'd like to see gap training maps out first and plz no maps that are just jumps, with no skybox/walls/direction of where to go... coridor for example... or my map dan_jumpv3 lol :D

I think jump maps must be as good as say Krime_Pyramid :D and not as long as jm_Classique heh :P

and Drofder - I used some chaulk textures in my map hehe unlike some maps :P

well, I try to add as many new jumps as I can for my maps, I would be glad to work on cod2 map but first I would have to learn how :)

Edit: I just went on codfiles to go download it but before I did, I read the comments. I have already lost my love for cod2 and I havent played it for like 2 months now, but the comments just made me not even try and click that download button
"Patch sucks, every server takes almost 2 minutes to connect. Harbor kills my fps from the smooth 70-90 I usually get, it's down to 2 and under when facing the center of the map."
I'm just ashamed of IW, as another guy said

Patch is good imo. Except for the stuppid random kill zones (anti-jumping :/)

Harbor does not kill FPS at all.
Havent tried connecting to a server yet...
Rhine is a very detailed map also.

IMO, the maps alone would have taken this long to produce, so be grateful. Remember, they do not "need" to give us anything, as the product we bought worked fine. Although I do believe a successful company works with their customers and doesn't keep secrets, I also believe IW are doing an "ok" job.

Hi, first post and stuff. Just wanted to say it's nice to see someone who doesn't complain till they're blue in the face about anything IW does do. The maps probably wouldn't have taken this long as harbor has been majorily ported over and rhine is a SP-MP conversion. It is nice to have PBand stuff though. I was just wondering, are any of the jumps for COD2 still possible? And if so which?

Welcome :)

There are still some jumps possible in most maps, and some jumps are going to need to be redone using a work around (without touching kill triggers), but after a run through of some Dawnville/Burgundy stuff, there is not a lot left at all :(

Are any of the CoDJumper Servers 1.2 yet? OR indeed are they ever going to be?

I think, like in UO, the linux servers need to update first
since IW doesn't support linux server, you're gonna have to wait for a 3rd party (icculus.org) to release one ;)

(me thinks CJ's cod2 servers are running linux?)

We don't have any CoD2 servers at the minute - we decided to keep the CoD1 server instead of the CoD2 server until the map editing tools are released. By the way, nice to see another geordie in the community :) (unless you're from another Newcastle? ;)).

Only £307 for half a season - bargain! That basically was all my money lol... couldn't buy that great a computer for that amount of money.

Half way isn't all the way, so it's pointless (and don't make the point that I could save it.... I'm relying on my parents to provide computers :P).
