don't know of any other format besides flash that works like that, and flash requires html to be used, and html is disabled so the forums won't get hacked

theres also bbcode flash, but that also has an ability to steal cookies so that is also diabled

yep, oh, and as for make smaller links/filenames, it doesn't cut down on the characters enough
maybe there is a plugin somewhere for php that might work somehow...but its not worth it cause im sure peds doesnt want to spend the time working with anything like that

i looked at dl.am, but unfortunately im uneducated in how to use redirectors, though im guessing i need another website first, then enter that url in when signing up or whatever, right?
