Sigs...

Post by wtfhax[MC] » February 6th, 2006, 12:21 am

first i made a codjumper sig cuz i was bored

Image

And then i have a bunch of unfinished sigs, that if anyone wants to use, i can add their name and give them it :)

Here they are:

I didnt do the renders, they are from GR, and are various games, i also know that some of them are simply brushed and blurred renders but still, not everyone has PS :D

p.s. if u get user posted image let me know, and on 10 i can brush over deviantART.com if text needs to be added

Very nice brushwork, but imo, the renders ruin all of them.

Som renders are great but dont suit the brushwork, some renders are terrible in quality, and some of the ways the renders are placed are just bad.

But still nice brushwork ;)

i agree with drofder, the brushwork is excellent on most. but the renders don't fit in at all. They would fit in much better if colored to the color of the background.

Also, they seem to be repetitive and tend to get unoriginal. Though they are good they all have the same concept, try being original and experimenting, or even looking at tutorials. You don't have to have brushwork and a render in every sig.

so overall the renders tend to ruin the signature due to lack of compatiblity and they tend to be over repetitive in concept of design.

nope, that looks quite good as a stand-alone sig. (except the text seems to be floating).

theres nothing to be sorry about, they're not bad, just unoriginal and render doesnt fit in. Heres a challenge for you, try making a signature without any brushes. I made my current one without the use of any brushes (excluding eraser) and most people consider it to be decent

thats a start, but there is so much you can do without using brushes to make abstract backgrounds, for example, if you want lava:

make a 500x500 document
create four lensflares at each corner going towards the center
chrome render it with low detail
then color using CTRL+B and moving the bars to change color

voila

also check out this thread, no brushes:

hi m8, i like ur pics, but i must agree that some images busted the Brush.
A tip from an german^^,maybee u play whis more Layers to get the image in the color of the brush, like brush raster 1,image raster 2,then press shift and l to set the colarisation to 0,then go to color balance and fill it,
i loadet one pic to to rapit share ,but i know its not perfekt, but so u can see, what i mean( i know the name is to clear^^)
http://rapidshare.de/files/12857014/war ... r.jpg.html

there is no brush, its done only whis layer and set of the blend mode(multiply, burn ligthen etc.)
