How do you add a signature?

Can someone help me with adding a signature to my posts?
Do I have to have the signature on a website somewhere or can I just upload it?
And how do you go about doing this?

first you get the image uploaded somewhere. try imageshack.us or photobucket.com or somethin else maybe. Then go to your profile, go down to where it says signature. type [img]url%20to%20image[/img] and then hit submit.
