if you have any other mod in your ....cod2/main folder, trow them out, the dont work together.

copy the .iwd file in your ..../cod2/main folder

below is the setting you can set in you "config_mp.cfg"
or in your server startup script to enable the Save_position_mod


seta scr_saveposition "1"

erm you open config_mp.cfg "C:/program files/activision/call of duty 2/main/config_mp.cfg"
with notepad or wordpad

then you add the line at the bottom or where ever

then save

and load the gameserver
