hey m8,
Well the way i do it is simple..go to textures/sfx/and the water thats in there..(fastwater, coldwater, oldsewer water)
then just create a brush out of that
simple...although im sure theres many other ways, thats wat i use

Topic Unlocked as that is the wrong way of doing it.
You should not make the whole brush out of the sfx.
This is the way it should be made.
Make the whole brush from "common/water".
Then select the top part of the brush (using CTRL+Shift+L.Click).
Then choose the sfx texture you want.
