3 monitor set up help
I have set up 3 monitors just to try it out but I can't get them to work ingame.
The game runs but only on the primairy screen.
All 3 show the desktop and are recognized by the nvidia control panel.
The problem is that in nvidia control panel I cannot select surround vision (which should be there).
I am running the monitors of one vidcard (Gtx 670 4GB)
I have clean installed the latest drivers but to no avail.
I googled my ass off yesterday but I can not find a solution.

Re: 3 monitor set up help
Edit:
UK Site says 670 is not supported, American Site says it is...
--
The only thing worth mentioning is that all 3 monitors must be run at the same resolution, refresh and sync polarity.

Re: 3 monitor set up help
Maybe it depends on which 670 (2Gb or 4Gb).
I also read that it has to be SLI and cannot be done on 1 card, but I read somewhere else it can be done
I asked the IT department at my work and they had a possibility:
- Don't stretch the monitors in windows (leave it at one) and than try and change it in the nvidia control panel....I will try that this evening.

Re: 3 monitor set up help
It can be done, it is confirmed on Nvidia (US) site [One-GPU - 3 monitors].
I edited my previous post.
What monitors are you using?
Have you given all of them the same refresh and resolution?
Do you know the sync polarity of each monitor?

Re: 3 monitor set up help
I thought so two, but after a quick check, there are a few cards capable of single card 3 monitors.KillerSam wrote:I thought you could only power a maximum of 2 screens per card?
The 690GTX is capable of triple (maybe even 4) monitors with a GPU dedicated to physX.

Refresh rate and resolution are the same. Polarity I haven't checked (never ever changed that), I will also do that this evening .

Re: 3 monitor set up help
*SOLVED*
After 4 hours on the web I found out that the surround vision is not possible on Vista machines
Never saw a reason to upgrade to win7 but I do have one now

Re: 3 monitor set up help
Killersam I couldn't log in anymore with my normal account so I created this one.
Can you please check this for me I have no idea what happened.
On topic !
I got the 3 monitors running with win7 ... looks great but when running CoD4 the screen is stretched like crazy
Have to check how to fix this....I can't get widescreenfixer to work

It doesn't accept the password and when I try to get an email it says that the email or login name doesn't existKillerSam wrote: I can't see any reason why that is the case, is it not accepting password? Try clearing your cookies / cache. If you still can't get it working let me know and i'll look further into fixing it.
I changed it ingame to the widescreen resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:10 but the game is stretched then. Imo the aspect ratio has to be changed and I have to do that with the widescreenfixer program. But I have no clue what to put in the 4 boxes.Because CoD4 is running at a normal resolution? Did you chnge in game resolution to be that of all 3 monitors combined?
I'll post a picture this evening.

Re: 3 monitor set up help
Thx Sam everything up and running again.
*On Topic* I got the triple setup working for CoD4 and it's great !
Got it working for Skyrim and dishonored aswell.
I had to change some stuff in the widescreenfixer (if you choose/check the CoD4 steam version it works like a charm....but I have the retail version...go figure ??)
