/r_fullbright 1?

Hello,

Just wondering if it is possible to enable fullbright on a public server without punkbuster. I've tried it before however, it didn't work.

I found out it had something to do with it being some sort of cheat. My friend told me you could bypass it somehow but I'm unsure how to.

If it's possible to enable fullbright on a public cod4 server pre 1.7 patch without punkbuster, please tell me if it is possible or not.
If it is possible, please be kind and tell me how to?

It's not possible on 1.7, it is on 1.0.

Good because I have 1.0 and 1.7

So would you happen to know how to enable fullbright?

It is possible to enable fullbright if you have unlocked dvars I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here but if not can an admin please remove it. <link removed> that is a link to my iw3mp that has unlocked dvars. go in your cod4 folder and backup your old one and put the one I linked in. When you start cod4 do /devmap mp_crash;disconnect and when you join a server you will be able to use fullbright.

On 1.0 you don't need to change your exe in any way, the process just involves the use of a dvar which enables you to use sv_cheats commands for your player only (such as r_fullbright). If you try and change settings such as jump_height, because it is only for your player, your player will begin to jump with the modified jump height but be instantly brought to normal jump height due to the server settings remaining the same, it's an odd effect that I can't explain very well, but it cannot be misused. Other sv_cheat dvars can be misused though.

This would be cheating, unlocking dvars is, and fullbright gives an unfair advantage
