Maybe I misjudged, but I'd imagine most people know Au is the chemical symbol for gold, it's right up there with knowing what H2O is.
Not quite on the same level as H2O but definitely on the level of Potassium or Copper

I don't. I dropped it after 1 year in school.
Anyway, I'm sorry for being rude

Science is a mandatory course up to "Year 11" (Age 14-15).
By that point you are taught (and expected to know the properties of) the common (alkaline) metals, noble gases and a fair amount of transitional metals.

You either had science or the 'counterpart' which I don't know in English, I had the counterpart. I did follow it for one year, had to learn the basic, more common elements but I forgot about them in time.

Relax guys. Education systems are different in every country

For us science is mandatory for 1 year and after that most people drop out of it.
We spend more time on different languages for example

That's obviously retarded though

Not really. 90% of the people will never do anything with science again. I learnt like half of the periodic table in high school but forgot most of it because i just don't care and have no use for it. Whereas languages are a lot more useful in common life and your career.

Same here, but tried anyway. Only thing that seemed odd was in the bottom left corner, and I think those are just leaves. I have to be honest though but I had to look real carefully for the truck
