Its a puzzle game.

Pick up your local newspaper and find the "puzzle" section. Crosswords, Sudoku, Brain Teasers, Word Games... they have no other point than to give relief to boredom. This is the exact same scenario, people do not play these games for accomplishment but as a relief from boredom. It is the same reason why people play facebook games such as Farmville...

Also, physics puzzle games (that have existed in flash form long before Angry Birds) are actually very fun to play during a dull moment sitting behind a desk at work...

I play Bubble Witch on Facebook because I really love that game (Bubble Shooter). It's also the only game I play actually.

I do agree with you. Its a highly overrated game.
