I will happily assume by those words, he would (if the case were somebody else saying it), quote it with the intention of making it sound like something it wasn't.

His words however stupid sounding, are true. He wrote a story which opened up they eyes of many others. A lot of people want to be recognised or credited for big things, and he has claimed credit for reporting a factual story which resulted in public outrage.

To put it in perspective, a programmer wishes to create programs that are used by everyone, a mapper wants a map that people want to play 24/7 and a web designer wants to create a website that gets millions of hits.

But, he's still a cunt.

Isn't that what happens with most hangings? (Ie. suicide hangings, not public ones). I have very little knowledge of hanging so I don't know.
