Do you guys recommend any gaming keyboards/mice?
Hello there. I want to buy a gaming mouse and keyboard but i'm not sure which ones to get. I currently have the Mionix Naos gaming mouse and just a plain keyboard. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other cool gaming mice that aren't too expensive as I might sell my current one and buy a cheaper one ( Its worth about £40). I was thinking of getting a Razor gaming keyboard but ive heard in a few reviews that some of the keys stop functioning and that you have to unplug and replug the keyboard for them to work again, but other than that they look pretty cool (Also, does anyone know which Razor has the headphone and Mic jacks on the back of it?) Do any of you have any gaming keyboards/mice that you recommend im willing to spend around £45 on a Mouse and £70 max on a keyboard. Thanks.

Me: Well, i think the ONLY way to resolve this problem is...KS reseign from site admin and me to take his place, and then commence my plan for world domination...
KS : Done.

Keyboards don't really matter as much as the mouse do. Just get a Logitech keyboard (I've been using the G15 for a long time now).
And I've grown to love the Logitech G9 as a mouse. It's my second one actually since the first one died (Wire died after a long time).
Logitech all the way though.

this one looks ok its not too expensive either and has headphone jacks. (the reason i want the jacks is because the front panel ones on my computer are playing up which is apparently a big problem with realtek ive managed to get the mic to work but not the headphones but i suppose i could just get a usb only headset for pc instead of my x11's)

the Steelseries Ikari is the best mouse i've ever used
and my keyboard is just standard also and it's awesome lol, probably worth 5€ but awesome as hell ... and it survived alot already
Keyboard : http://www.itpurchase.in/prod_imgs/Logi ... oard_1.jpg
Mouse : Steelseries Ikari http://steelseries.com/products/mice/st ... ri-optical
Little bit more than what you want to give to a mouse i thingk.
No idea about the keyboard, i'd stick with the standard one

Re: Do you guys recommend any gaming keyboards/mice?
Im not getting it just because of the headphone jacks its just a bonus. atm the sound is coming out of my speakers and it gets a little annoying sometimes especially at night so its better than nothing, and if they reall are that terriblr ill pick up some £10 usb headset like the one i used to have till it broke but it was fine. I can still use my x11's for xbox but im a little pissed that my front panel jacks arent working properly :@KillerSam wrote:That looks very similar to the keyboard I have minus the screen e.t.c.
I really wouldn't waste your time with the headphone jacks though, it doesn't sound any good.
Also, shall i inveswt in a mouse pad? do they make that much of a difference? my current mouse works ok just on the desk but i mayaswell get a mousepad for like £5 if it will make any difference.

I've got a Logitech MX518 and it works brilliantly, would highly recommend it (suits your price range, too, it's only £20 IIRC).
As for keyboards, don't have any suggestions, I just use a quite basic non-gaming-specific Logitech one, but it does the job.

Depends on your desk. Sam and I both use Razer Sphex, which is basically a VERY thin textured sheet (<1mm, I believe), very smooth surface.cianw1 wrote:Also, shall i inveswt in a mouse pad? do they make that much of a difference? my current mouse works ok just on the desk but i mayaswell get a mousepad for like £5 if it will make any difference.

I have the Logitech G500 Mice and Steelseries NP++ mouse pad (because it's huge and i like that).
For the keyboard, i've been using the standard Dell keyboard that came with the PC for years. I don't think keyboards make any difference. Obviously that doesn't mean i recommend buying a standard Dell one but don't spend to much money on it.

This.
I mainly use a Logitech keyboard for the lights (It's awesome to see it in the dark). That's the only criteria I ask from a keyboard.
But a mouse, nobody can really tell the best. Each and everyone got their personal preference. But imo, still get a Logitech one since that's the best company tbh.

Re: Do you guys recommend any gaming keyboards/mice?
i personally have got the logitech g15 for keyboard and g500 for mouse but as most others r saying here it is just personal preferance
Re: Do you guys recommend any gaming keyboards/mice?
I use a G15 keyboard and like it alot,
With the mice, try and go to shops where you can actually handle 1, as you need one that is matched to your hand, Ive got big hands so little mice are a pain to use. Also the weighted 1's are good so you can set the feel too what you like.
