Depends how large you want your monitor tbh.

I've had this for about 4/5 years now:

It's a very good monitor, but given that it's been out for about 6 years I'm sure there must be better alternatives for cheaper now.

And are all computers '3d ready' and it just depends if the monitor is 3d ready? Or will it specifically say in the specs if it is 3d? :tank:

A decent pc can put out 3d. I am not sure but I think you will get less fps because your pc need to work harder. And I have tried the nvidea software (with a cheap ass blue/red cardboard glasses), it was ok but pb kicked me for it the whole time :P

Your monitor size depends on the distance from you to your screen.
I have a 47inch screen, it is my tv but I also have my pc connected to it. The distance between me and my screen while gaming is around 2 meters.

Ahhh ok, so do you think this computer will be able to handle 3d? i dont really want 3d for gaming but for 3d films, here it is -
http://www.meshcomputers.com/desktops.htm the site is under maintenence atm so its just a big list but the one i will be getting is called evolution2500k , and if i get more money by the time im gettig it i might be getting the slayer i7 pro .

My computer screen will be basically right in front of me on my desk so i think 40" may be overkill

Do what i did. Use your HD TV as monitor. That way you won't need to go out and buy a monitor unless you dont have a Big TV then wait till PC World has there get rid of stock thing. I got 2 1920x1080 monitors for £30 each.

Most people I know are happy with Dell monitors 19-21 inches. I mean people who really know what they want from a monitor (graphic designers etc.)
