I used to have a pc with a 9800GT NVidia Gfx card. Sold that pc. Worst mistake I ever made. Bought a laptop recently and ...I have my "Esc > Options > Graphics" set to all low and/or off and video mode is 640x480. Also my texture settings is set to Trilinear, Manual: all low and Anisotropic filtering bar is all the way to the left. That's just in the basic settings though. I've also used a numerous amount of console commands to raise fps and of course pressed B-2, turning off the decals, fog, etc. and turning on fullbright. With those settings I get a not-so-consistent 333 jumping around from 300-333. Of course, that is all depending on what map it is. Sometimes I get 333 no problem, other times I need to set my draw distance to 250 to get 333 which is just annoying (Who wants to change their draw distance?!), and sometimes I cant get anything near 333 like on high quality maps.
I downloaded this thing called yitch3 and put it in the designated folder, then executed it from the console in cod4. And it didnt help at all. It even made the fps worse, rasing my video mode and a couple other settings were no longer set to low/off. My question is is there any tutorials on here explaining how to use yitch3 and configure it? I've been told it's great for fps and makes
the game look terrible. That is what I'm looking for. I don't need a visually stunning game. All I want to do is make the jumps without having to spend thousands on a high end pc. I only payed 400$ for this Windows 7 laptop. I'm not on my laptop at the moment but later I can post some specs. Probably ain't necessary but whatevskies.
