Charlie Brooker on Macs

Post by Pedsdude » February 28th, 2011, 3:53 pm

Quite a good article that I completely agree with (or at least to the extent of iPods - I haven't crossed the bridge to iPhones, iPads or Macbooks, and I don't intend on doing so anytime soon.)

Well, i own a macbook pro and have to agree with most of the anti-apple talk.
I run windows (cause i can play "all of them" games on it then), and had to reduce the number of drivers apple wants you to install by default (!). Also, itunes, its just crappy software. I run it now without quicktime (quicktime lite ftw) and apple updater (who needs that shit anyway?)

Cables and other stuff is extremely expensive, and mostly doesnt last very long (3th time i rma'ed my earphones).

Just gonna close with this img:

itunes=fail. i remember when i got a new laptop and i had all my music on my ipod. it wont let you sync fron the ipod to the computer, and doesnt let you hmmm idk how to describe this but, itunes doesnt 'remember' what youve bought so i couldnt just redownload everything id bought. luckily i had a external hd so i was able to transfer everything with that.

Doesn't work the same with apps tough. Instead of iTunes transferring the apps to your ipod/iphone/ipad. Your device transfers the apps to iTunes. Doesn't matter if you use another library you'll never loose your apps. Unless your device crashes and you don't have your apps in iTunes ofc :P
