Basically you want to get rid of everything on the screen except for the +5's and the killfeed.
I actually played scopes only on shipment yesterday with Matty, Moose, Kiwidog, Adam, Yuna and few more

looks like u got too little fps.
if u got fraps do the following steps to improve the fps ratio and the quality:
-start fraps and klick on record with 50 fps
-start ur demo with the config u want
->bind [Key] "toggle timescale .25 1" (this command will play the demo in slowmotion)
-then start recording with fraps on 50 fps
-in vegas u can speed it up and then u got 200 frames per second and ur clip is runnig prety smooth
