Basically that, you don't need developer_script on when you're simply testing a map, I've only ever used it when creating a minimap, but then again, I hardly map these days. And if you're having a lot of errors with your script, it'd probably be best to delete everything and start over, it's tedious to go back and look for problems within your script when you don't know what you're looking for or understand what you're looking at, for that matter.
