what might cause that shit? note it is absolutely dark, walls can't cast such back shadows. there weren't such black spots before.

Lightmap issue?
Hidden brush being filtered?

In Radiant. Make sure everything is check/ticked and look for any brushes close to it.

no, there are no brushes that might cast such a shadow. btw, there are much more the same black things on my map. and they appeared really suddenly. i just worked with other stuff in the map, far away from those black things.

i forgot to say, i highlighted the brush that has the black spot on it and made it longer downwards. this action made the strange shadow disappear. i did the same thing to other brushes that had such shadows on them but i coudln't get rid of few shadows.

Not sure if you can do lightmaps in CoD1. try Shift+L.
Otherwise just make the brush again.

Lightmaps are what define how light works when it interracts with a surface.
Press SHIFT+ L in CoD4 Radiant. Not sure if it is used in vCoD
