Good run for the money?

CPU: i7 870

Motherboard: Asus P7P55-M

Memory: 8GB

HDD: 1TB

Graphics card: ATI Radeon 5850 1GB

Sound card: 7.1 audio

PSU: 700w


For £850.

Any good?

Probably about £200 more than what you'd pay if you bought all the components and built it yourself. That isn't factoring in peripherals and case if those are included.

I will probably move on to custom building when i'm a bit older and have a decent job so i can be paying for parts when i need.

But would this be alright for the base?

I suppose, the only thing I can think of is that if you wanted to go for more customization in the future it might be better to go with an AMD processor as Intel socket types have become ridiculous. That's pretty picky though, it's got very good specs, just a little overpriced.
