TF2 doesn't look good by the standards of "omg, this game doesn't look good because it doesn't strive for realism and dull, monotone, brown, repetitive, cookie cutter environments." By technical standards, TF2 is up to par and the lighting is just as advanced as games like CoD4, just approached differently. Also, regardless of any of that, it is not only the most impressive class based shooter in both variety and balance, but it also has more free downloadable content than any other game out there.

I seriously don't get the bitching about TF2. I find the graphics to look amazing. If TF2 looked totally serious it would've been a failure. I laugh every time Valve makes a new TF2 movie because it's full of jokes and it's simply funny as fuck.

It's just like Zelda The Windwaker (And Zelda games on the DS use the same cell shaded looks). I really like the style, even though there's a lot of complaints.
