OK so I've played pro-mod for a long time, but recently i have heard 3 theories that i am not sure about
here they are:
1. in pro-mod, when sprinting does toggling A+D whilst sprinting and holding W make you run faster?
2. In pro-mod, when strafe-jumping, does changing weapon in mid air make you go further?
3. in pro-mod, when sprinting does changing weapon make you go faster for a brief period of time?
Edit: Also, i heard there were special methods of throwing nades to get them further too, am i right in saying by flicking the mouse upwards while throwing it goes further, and are there any more tips to throwing them i am missing?
Never really tested these, tried to but failed, so i thought maybe people on here would know, cheers

Re: Cod4 Increasing run speed in pro-mod
Yes u can throw a nade further by jumping at the rite time, yes u can run faster but when strafing (A D) into a wall, but the rest no.Echo1337 wrote:OK so I've played pro-mod for a long time, but recently i have heard 3 theories that i am not sure about

Re: Cod4 Increasing run speed in pro-mod
thanks but for the 1st one, your thinking of wallrunning, i mean without running into a wall, so just sprinting forwards toggling A+D

Re: Cod4 Increasing run speed in pro-mod
We've had a big discussion about switching weapons to make you run faster. But we couldn't prove it.
The only one I know for 100% is jumping while throwing a nade. Jump and then throw, it goes fruther. It's been like that ever since CoD1.

1. Yes, but you have to do it against a wall, called wallspeedEcho1337 wrote:1. in pro-mod, when sprinting does toggling A+D whilst sprinting and holding W make you run faster?

Re: Cod4 Increasing run speed in pro-mod
1. No. You gain speed but you also gain distance compae the two lines:
/\/\/\/\/\/\ = Strafe left and right.
------------ = Running straight.
2. No. Not even "hasn't been proven", bullshit, it doesn't work, full stop...
3. Maybe. I am unsure of the pro-mod code, but changing from a LMG to a Pistol in stock will slightly change your speed (it is done on percentages...), but I think this is juat a single speed cap on Pro.
@Edit: Yes. This is all about velocity and angle. If you were to strafe jump into a nade throw, it would yield a slightly better result than simply running and jump-throwing, but the difference in length is outweighed by the accuracy. You cannot accuractely throw while flicking your mouse (as you cannot get a good angle).
