I don't get it though, why the force ? Why not rubber bullets or something ? Even those can be lethal but these guys are shooting sharp.

I'll be honest. I am completely desensitised to that kind of thing....to the point where it doesn't bother me at all.

I am not totally desensitised, this sort of action is not hard for me too watch, it is the videos containing brutality (beheadings, point blank gun fire, executions), its not the blood and guts tat I find disturbing, but the lack of humanity that is shown.
