sony vegas help.

Now i know this normally would not come from me but for some reason i learned 3ds max and i have my intro rendered and everything in avi but it wont drag into vegas. I tried using a converter to wmv and it dragged in but was all messed up and bad quality anyone got an snwer please i worked prety hard on teh intro

I made an intro in 3D studio max before, and what I did was drag it into After effects, added some effets and rendered it again (not sure if it was avi or mp4), and it worked fine in sony vegas. I'm not sure what else to say, but I didn't notice/have this problem when I made my intro :S.
