Predisposition for playing the guitar

Hey guys, I found this interesting topic on UltimateGuitar which made me just wonder how deep science is getting these days. Scientists have 'confirmed' that genes give the ability to play guitar, like genes give the ability for sports and such.

'One of the scientists involved commented on the group's findings saying how well an individual plays the guitar depends on if they have the particular gene.'

'The next goal for the scientists is to find a way to stimulate these genes and to learn how to artificially rise guitar playing abilities of people around the world.'

'A mass production, the specialist added, will be possible as early as in 2015.'

Quite intimidating stuff if you ask me....

Cool find, I'm not really that surprised. Maybe this will mean that we'll actually see talented guitar players in bands again instead of the crap in music nowadays.

Aye, I did not think of this.

This could be indeed an april fools, however I re-read the article and it links to an article which was posted 2 weeks back, about this same group of scientists, and it sounds fairly legit and believable.

Yeah, it seems on par with most other timeframes I've heard for various gene manipulation things.
