Mouse Problem

Post by WorldDomoNation » March 23rd, 2010, 8:21 pm

I couldn't really word this properly for a google search, so I thought I'd ask you guys!

My mouse is acting strange, the middle button (when you click it down) is both a scroll button (where you just click it and scroll by moving the mouse) and a right click button. The right click is also doing the same thing, its both a scroll button and a right click button.

I have a G500 mouse and I'm using the Logitech SetPoint 2 software that came with it. I've tried closing this, but to no avail. I've also tried looking under the control panel, but found nothing of use.

Does know anything about this? This has never happened before and I'm quite confused as to why it happened.

EDIT: I tried reversing the left and right mouse buttons in the control panel and the right click button continued to work as a scroll button as well as a main click button. Also, the middle click button continued to work as a scroll button as well as a right click button.
that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant? :P

Because plants have some really small details. If a plant comes out nice in a photo, you have yourself a good camera ;)

Yes, but if boobs come out really well in a photo you have a picture of boobs

You mean that when you click you scroll?

Anyway only solution i can think of is re-installing your mouse software again.
Wait for someone who knows more about this tough.

I have a G500 as well, but I haven't encountered this problem :S. I would say to set your binds back to default in your Logitech control panel software that came with the mouse, but you said you already tried this, so I have no clue as to how to fix it besides that D:
