I'd do the same. With my 3 days experience :)
But I think decals would be a better solution.

Mooselflies, there was a map on the server, can't recall it's name, a big climbable tower in the middle and bounce objects all over the floor... There was no goal, so it was a free roam. It was a big fail, it was skipped every time...

Okay guys, the slide room is finished. The slide itself is not so hard once you figure it out. There is also a secret room added, where I plan to script a button that opens 1 door out of more to get to the... Well... You've played portal, right... ;)

Also I have found a lighting problem that occurs between brushes. Any help? :)

The next room will be ladder jumping and the introduction of RPG.

Are you guys interested in testing out the slide? Tell me if you find it too hard, or encounter a glitch or shortcut. Tell me if you can get to the secret room... :)

EDIT2: Please take the left side if you're trying it, the right side is bugged, it's fixed now though.

Okay, I'll start learning on those now... Thanks... :)

EDIT: Do I need to use those on everything? Or just the floor and walls?
How many vertexes do I want? Do I want to spam them? Or as few as possible? Or does it not matter?

For the light problem, cycle the layer to go into lightmap mode(shift+l), then reallign (texture with same face) the two brushes so the lightmap grid is the same.

Thank you for your reply, and I'm in the cycle the layer mode, I now see grey blocks. But shift + I doesn't change anything. I can select my brushes though... :)

The latest screen of the slide room is on the previous page, there is even included a demo-map.
The slide jump is entirely new, and I need to know if people can figure out, or even complete the slide. I NEED comments on it. It'd be awkward to release a map eventually and people are not able to do the slide early in the beginning... :?

Right now, I'll be experimenting what happens when I tilt ladders and mantles... And I need to find out when exactly a bounce boosts you sideways (like the bounce on crossfire from the main high building to the small edge of steps that get's you up the 5th (I think) floor of the highest building). Today I'm mostly going to experiment, because I'm planning to make something fun, not something that delivers a kick to the skilled... :)

EDIT: And I still need to figure out the lighting problem...
